The Insulated Concrete Formwork Association (ICFA) showed just how easy basement construction can be at the recent ‘Building into the Basement’ conference at the prestigious Queen Elizabeth II Conference Centre in Westminster, London.
With an exhibition stand constructed from Insulated Concrete Formwork (ICF’s), members of the ICFA were on hand to discuss the multiple benefits of this method of construction with housing developers, housing associations, architects, engineers, local authorities and contractors.
By using ICF’s, internal and external walls can be built in a matter of days - saving time and money, whilst ensuring fantastic thermal and acoustic insulation.
The conference was organised by the Basement Information Centre, in partnership with BRE and The Concrete Centre. The Rt Hon Keith Hill MP, Minister of Planning and Housing gave the keynote speech on the Governments support for housing schemes designed with basements.
